Key Functions in Telecom Network Operations

  • Routing and Switching of Inter-Operator Domestic Calls: Efficiently manage the routing and switching of calls between different domestic operators to ensure seamless communication across networks.

  • Provision of Roaming Call Facilities: Enable subscribers to make and receive calls while traveling outside their home network coverage area, both nationally and internationally.

  • Connectivity Infrastructure: Provide robust infrastructure linking International Gateway (IGW), Interconnection Exchange (ICX), Access Network Service (ANS) operators, and Internet Protocol Telephony Service Providers (IPTSP) to facilitate smooth data and voice transmission.

  • Routing and Switching of International Calls: Manage the routing and switching of international calls between ANS operators and IGW providers to maintain global connectivity.

  • Generation of Call Detail Records (CDR): Collect and generate detailed call records to assist the Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) in monitoring, billing, and regulatory oversight.

  • Data Provision to National Monitoring Cell (NMC): Supply necessary telecom data to the NMC for national security, surveillance, and lawful interception purposes.

  • Provision of Toll-Free Services to Government: Offer dedicated toll-free telecom services to government agencies for efficient communication and public service delivery.
